WHAT CAN WE CREATE?

We create art that draws from the intersections of Black personhood and community, to spark social and personal transformation.

Our process aims to identify a canon of Womanist Artistic Practices by observing embodied and material phenomena that emerge when the Black feminine gaze is centred (Oppositional Gaze, hooks, bell) within a creative space informed by lived experiences of the artists in collaboration.

We also consider audience presentation strategies alongside the development of the work, to promote more relational experience for the viewer and to help determine optimal modes for presentation.
