Knowledge-creation at The Embers Lab is based on the guiding proposition that Womanist Artistic Practices founded on African knowledge systems, are embedded in our art-making, and embodied through methods leadership.

The Embers Lab will build methods, share information, and resources designed for Black artists to begin to collectively reconsider our interpersonal engagements, and self-perceptions in emancipated social paradigms.
